As things at the house start coming together, and I have put away enough possessions that the floor is clearly visible, it is becoming painfully clear that our walls are terribly lonely. Sure, all of our painting has left them colorful and rather pretty, but what walls REALLY want is to be clothed in interesting pictures and shelves and art. As it stands currently... our walls are rather scantily clad.
How to remedy the problem of a naked wall is not something that I have much experience with, so I used my usual steps when confronting a problem I know nothing about:
1). Take nap
2). Google as question
3). Eat brownie
4). Google as photo search
5). Update faithful followers on status
6). Eat second brownie
So, after my googling and brownie consumption, here is what I have discovered; there is no tried and true "right way" to cloth a wall. There are all sorts of ideas out there, and each one has its own merits. For example:
Photo wall
Aligned
With shelves
With color scheme
Colorful patterns
Framed
Color scheme
Large scale canvas
Bold canvases
With stripes
With photo/print
Split prints
Decals
Bedroom wall
Words
Birds
White space
All of these choices would probably be perfectly adequate, if I could just choose one and try it. I keep wandering back and forth between ideas, but implementing them simultaneously seems like a bad idea. A couple things that I have seen have really stuck with me:

What, no comments? This is great struff. I tend to think about pletheras of great ideas for so long that soon I am too tired to contemplate even one of them. These ideas are nice to look at, so I will just pretend they are pics of my place.
Thanks for the abundance of snark accompanying your posts.
