DIY Date Jar

The other day I ran across an excellent craft that solves 2 of my perpetual problems: an overabundance of popsicle sticks and a severe lack of date ideas. Solution: a color coded popsicle stick dating jar.

What you need:
Popsicle stick
Mason jar
Colored markers

What you do:
1). Write date ideas on popsicle sticks
2). Categorize dates by color (ie- purple for stay at home dates, blue for going out dates and red for dates that are expensive or require preparation).

This could be a really fun anniversary present, or a great gift for a soon-to-be married couple that doesn't break the bank. I surprised the smartest by making ours during my self-imposed lunch break yesterday, and he seemed moderately excited about it.
